Quick recipes with Nendran banana.
- Use the Kerala variety of bananas , Nendran, little larger than the Robusta bananas .
Cut the medium ripe banana when it turns a bit darker shade of beige.
Cut it into coins just few mmm thick and arrange it on a plate and top it with ghee (clarified butter ) honey and some sprinkling of ground crystals of jaggery or sugar
It can be served straight. One large banana can be a wholesome breakfast.

- Another recipe option is steaming the banana into golden hot and not too soft or ripe .
Cut into coins when hot and sprinkle drops of ghee, honey and crystals of ground brown sugar on the banana coins and have it served hot. It has an amazing taste and flavour.
- One scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream can make it an amazing hot cold dessert
- The process of sprinkling sugar may be changed to using a pan use a spoon of ghee and sprinkle sugar on the oily combination. On a light low flame just shake the set of banana cut coins and let it just have a light coating of sugar crystals.
The coins may be arranged for the drop of honey and ghee as topping to have it straight or scoop of ice cream
